3. How long will it take to build my home?
This is very dependent on how custom your home is. The planning stage can take a while, especially if you don’t know exactly what you want. However, once framing begins, building time (with Van Arbor) will be around 6 months. If it’s a very large, custom home, it would be complete somewhere around 12 months after framing begins.
4. How involved am I in the build?
It’s all about what you want, and it depends on the level of customization. Some companies ask you what you want , and then you don’t see your home until you move in, and some people prefer this model. Standard inclusions rotate, with some builders including landscaping, and others not. It’s important that your expectation, and the home builders, are the same on this point.
